AutomationDirect announces its new family of micro graphics operating panels. The C-more Micro Graphics panel is a touch panel at the same price as the text panel, manufactured by our parent company Koyo Electronics, part of the multi-billion dollar JTEKT Group. The C-more Micro graphics panel is a compact operating panel that comes in touchscreen ($189) and non-touchscreen ($139) models. The 3.1-inch easy-to-read LCD monochrome display has a resolution of 128 x 64 pixels. With 768KB of memory, the C-more micro graphics panel supports up to 999 screens, limited only by project memory usage. In addition, the C-more Micro is equipped with LED backlights in five user-definable colors.
Using a panel with a touch display, the operator can quickly start operations or enter values. Items can include bitmap buttons, increment/decrement buttons, or even a pop-up numeric keypad on the screen. The display panel supports 8 lines of 21 character dynamic text, supports embedded variables, on/off phrases, find text, and more. C-more micrographics also supports 10 lines of 32 character static text. The panel is also able to invert the video to emphasize the text. The C-more micro graphics panel features an alarm function that allows control of backlight color flashing, function key LED flashing, buzz activation, and custom banner alarm displays. In addition to alarm instructions, the panel can also display bar charts, bitmap buttons, and graphical indicators. The C-more micro graphics panel also includes a recipe button object that transfers up to 99 label values to the PLC destination register with a single click.
C-more Micro graphics panels can be connected directly to the 6-pin modular RJ12 communication port on most DirectLOGIC PLCs for power and communication. If connecting to another brand of PLC, or connecting to a non-RJ12 port on an AutomationDirect PLC, an optional snap-on 24 VDC power adapter is required. EA-MG-P1 power adapter ($29) or EA-MG-SP1 model ($49) with 24-VDC power adapter and 15-pin D-sub RS-232/RS-422/485 serial port. For applications that require additional data entry options, two optional keyboard baffles are available. Both baffles are "plug and play" and do not require programming or external power. The EA-MG-BZ1($59) is an eight-button baffle designed for simple set point adjustments and data entry, equipped with menu, exit, Clear, enter, and four arrow buttons.
